The most authentic campsite in Argelès sur Mer, Le Bois de Valmarie occupies a unique site in the heart of a cork oak forest, overlooking the Mediterranean. On the heights of the famous Le Racou hamlet, less than 50 metres from the beach, our campsite on a human scale makes every effort to accommodate holidaymakers in the best possible conditions, particularly for families with young children and lovers of peace and idleness in equal measure.
It is close to the port of Argelès-sur-Mer, but also to Collioure and Spain, which you can reach via the coastal pathway, starting in Le Racou. Our establishment has a heated water park with water sides, enjoying a breathtaking view over the Mediterranean, a wellness area with sauna and Jacuzzi, massage cabins, gym, children’s club and outdoor play area. Our campsite occupies a unique site by the sea, a wooded hill overlooking the Mediterranean, a genuine balcony above Le Racou. This is the most authentic and out-of-ordinary district in Argelès sur Mer. Here, in this remote area (Racou meaning “nooks and crannies” in Catalan), you have impression of being on the other side of the world, far from the crowds and hustle and bustle of the town centre. On the beach front in the shade of the mountains, our holiday rentals enable you to spend a delightful stay, in a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Here the pace of life is certainly more gentle and slower than elsewhere!
